SINGAPORE - PM Lee was discharged from Singapore General Hospital (SGH) this morning, following a successful operation to remove his cancerous prostate gland, said a post on his Facebook account on Wednesday.
Mr Lee's surgeon, Professor Christopher Cheng, said: "PM's pathology report is good. The disease was small but potentially significant. We are very glad we were able to detect and remove it in time. PM should make a full recovery."
Upon his discharge from the hospital, Mr Lee thanked the competent, dedicated and compassionate medical team who treated him and helped see him through the operation.
Mr Lee was diagnosed with prostate cancer in January and recently underwent surgery to remove his prostate gland on Monday.
