But aside from trying out self-portraits taken with his iPhone, Mr Lee noted that he had used social media to post "important messages", such as one that urged Singaporeans to stay calm after the riot in Little India last December and how he shared his condolences on the missing Malaysian airliner MH370 via Facebook.
