Police arrest 3 suspects for robbery and assault

SINGAPORE - Police have arrested three male suspects, aged between 24 and 41, for their alleged involvement in a case of robbery with hurt that had occurred along Penjuru Walk.

The victim, a 24-year-old male, told police that was assaulted by a group of unknown males. He was also robbed of his cash worth an estimated $7,400.

Police managed to identify the suspects and arrested them on Sept 22 within the vicinity of Clementi and Gul Road.

Cash amounting to $940 was seized during the arrest.

The three suspects will be charged in court on Sept 24 for the offence of robbery with hurt under Section 394 of the Penal Code Chapter 224.

If found guilty, each of the suspects may be jailed between five to 20 years and could also be given a minimum of 12 strokes of the cane.
