SINGAPORE - Police have arrested a 33-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman for their suspected involvement in a series of thefts committed at the heavy vehicle carpark along Dairy Farm Road.
In March 2015, several cases of theft from vehicle were reported in the area, where the vehicles' windows were smashed and valuables were removed from within.
Following the reports, officers from the Jurong Police Division conducted extensive ground enquiries and follow-up investigations.
The officers managed to establish the identities of the suspects and subsequently arrested the duo at Segar Road on June 15, 2015. Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects are believed to be involved in at least nine similar cases of theft.
The suspects will be charged in Court on June 17. If convicted, they face a jail term of up to 3 years, or with fine.
