Police arrest man for attempted robbery inside lift in Jurong West

SINGAPORE - Police arrested a 45-year-old man on Monday for suspected involvement in a case of attempted robbary in Jurong West Street 81.

The police said they were informed on Jan 25 about a case of attempted robbery inside a lift of Block 840 in Jurong West Street 81.

They established the identity of the man after investigation and arrested the man in Bukit Purmei.

The man will be charged in court tomorrow. If convicted, the man faces jail of five to 20 years, and at least 12 strokes of the cane.
