Police arrest man who stole diesel from vehicles
A jerry can and rubber hoses were seized from the suspect's possession.

SINGAPORE - Police have arrested a 43-year-old man for his suspected involvement in stealing diesel from heavy vehicles parked at Jurong Industrial Estate.

Police said they received several reports between June and September of theft of diesel from heavy vehicles parked in the area.

After extensive enquiries and investigations, police officers arrested the suspect this morning at 4.30am at International Road.

A jerry can and rubber hoses were seized from his possession.

The suspect will be charged in court tomorrow for theft. If found guilty, he faces a jail term of up to three years and might also face a fine for each charge.
