Police to investigate death of SAF regular at Stagmont Camp

SINGAPORE - A Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) regular serviceman, Master Warrant Officer (MWO) Jude Sebastian Vincent, 49, was found unconscious in Stagmont Camp in Chua Chu Kang on Friday, said the Ministry of Defence (Mindef) in a statement at 3am on Saturday morning.

MWO Vincent was immediately evacuated to the Stagmont Medical Centre and arrived at about 10.35am where an SAF Medical Officer attended to him immediately.

At 11am, MWO Vincent was then sent via an SAF ambulance to National University Hospital (NUH) where he arrived 15 minutes later.

"The SAF Medical Officer and medics continued to resuscitate him en route to the hospital," said Mindef.

MWO Vincent was pronounced dead at 11.54am at NUH.

Mindef and the SAF extend their deepest condolences to the family of the late MWO Vincent.

The SAF is assisting the family in their time of grief. A police investigation will be conducted.
