President Tony Tan to attend Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony in Glasgow

SINGAPORE - President Tony Tan Keng Yam will represent Singapore at the Glasgow 2014 XX Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony on July 23.
President Tan will also be in Glasgow to support Team Singapore athletes from July 22 to 27.
During President Tan's absence, Mr J Y Pillay, Chairman of the Council of Presidential Advisers, will exercise the functions of the office of President of the Republic of Singapore.
