PSI reading improves on Thursday morning

SINGAPORE - The haze in Singapore subsided on Thursday morning with air quality improving into the moderate range.

The Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) reading on Wednesday night showed air quality had worsened into the unhealthy range.

The three-hour PSI reading on Thursday morning had dropped from 107 the previous night to 57. At 10am, the reading was 62.

According to the National Environment Agency (NEA), the recent hazy conditions were caused by haze blown in from southern Sumatra.
