PUB RECEIVES TRIPLE HONOURS AT IWA 2014 REGIONAL PROJECT INNOVATION AWARDS

R&D in water supply and used water networks, communicating water conservation recognised among best in Asia Pacific

25 April 2014 - PUB, the national water agency's Microbial Electrochemical Sensor (MES) and Smart Water Grid have each won an Honour Award (Applied Research category), while its Water Conservation Awareness Programme also won the Honour Award (Marketing and Communications category) at the International Water Association (IWA) 2014 Asia Pacific Regional Project Innovation Awards.

Held biennially, the IWA Project Innovation Awards aims to recognise innovation excellence in water projects throughout the world to spur water professionals to lead the development of effective and sustainable approaches to water management.

R&D has been the key driver to Singapore achieving an adequate and sustainable water supply. Utilising innovative technologies to manage water resources across all points of the water loop, PUB has not only ensured the delivery of high-quality water to consumers but also the efficient collection and reclamation of used water.
