Raffles Quay Asset Management employees give back to the community

Each month, Raffles Quay Asset Management (RQAM) employees give back to the community using their specialised skills and knowledge in facilities management to care for the elderly residents in Rochore Kongsi. They do this through fixing equipment and appliances that are in need of repair.

RQAM is the manager of Marina Bay Financial Centre and One Raffles Quay and the support that it provides to Rochore Kongsi is closely aligned with its expertise in managing the facilities of its commercial, residential and retail properties.

RQAM staff also interact with the residents through games and serving meals to the residents.

"The precious time that RQAM has generously given to Rochore Kongsi has brought much joy and laughter to our residents. We are very appreciative of the kindness that RQAM has shown to us and we look forward to their continued support," said Mrs Leong Geok Hoon, Chairman, Rochore Kongsi For The Aged.

Rochore Kongsi, Singapore's first sheltered home was selected as a beneficiary because RQAM recognised an opportunity to make a tangible difference through providing regular support to a place which previously did not have a permanent source of volunteers or much financial support.

RQAM uses its expertise to fix broken equipment, provide maintenance work and technical support around the home.

The residents also benefit greatly from RQAM's sponsorship of two air purifiers and donation of PCs.
