Rakuten Super Sale debuts in Singapore with an 11-day online shopping frenzy

SINGAPORE - If anyone is feeling the post-Great Singapore Sale blues, cheer up because Japan's biggest online shopping event is coming to town.

From Sept 15 - 25, shopaholics will rejoice and gear up for this Japanese online shopping marathon which has seen success all around the globe including Asia, Europe, the Americas and Oceania.

The local version of the Rakuten Super Sale will help unite shopaholics throughout Singapore at one webpage. Whether you are a beauty products junkie, a health nut or a fashionista, this sale has the potential to meet your needs.

Shoppers can expect discounts across all product categories. Even before the sale begins, shoppers can expect some limited-time promotional events. During the 11-day period, there will be three types of sales running each day: buy-one-get-one-free, timed sales and one-day-at-one-price promotions.

The much-anticipated one-for-one deals will include popular brands such as SK-II, NANO COLLAGEN and Meiji Amino Collagen supplements.

Luxury labels Hermes and Chanel will also be offering discounts of up to 28 per cent but there is going to be timed sales for that, so fastest fingers first!

If you do not have deft fingers, keep calm because there will be the deal of the day discounts on some featured items. A different array of products will be put up everyday so if you miss a day's worth, there is always the next day for you to try nabbing some discounted items.

Men can also take part in this sale because there are leather shoes that are retailing at up to 30 per cent off from Rakuten Direct. Rimowa luggage are also on sale at 20 per cent off regular prices.

From Sept 10 to 14, first-time registrants of Rakuten who sign up before the actual Super Sale will stand a chance to win attractive prizes including $10,000 worth of shopping vouchers (first prize), a pair of return tickets on Japan Airlines to Tokyo (second prize) or $100 worth of shopping vouchers (third prize plus 10 more sets).
