With the moon as a dramatic backdrop, the parachutists took the plunge.
In a thrilling display of precision and skill, the Singapore Armed Forces Red Lions parachute team executed a free-fall jump during the National Day Parade (NDP) preview show yesterday.
The nine parachutists landed in front of the audience at The Float@Marina Bay, where Junior Red Lions joined them to salute the nation together.
The Junior Red Lions are Primary 4 and Primary 5 pupils who were selected through a contest to be part of this year's NDP celebrations with the Red Lions. They also got to train with the team at the iFly wind tunnel on Sentosa. This is one of NDP 2014's active participation initiatives, where citizens are encouraged to join in the celebrations for Singapore's 49th birthday.
