KUALA LUMPUR: A retiree was brought to the Sessions Court to face charges of indecent acts with boys and possession of naked photographs of them.
Noor Din Chaw Fooi, 67, claimed trial to inciting 11 children - aged between eight and 13 - to commit acts of gross indecency with him.
The alleged offences are said to have occurred at Noor's apartment unit in Genting Court condominium, Setapak Indah Jaya here, since 2013.
Noor, however, pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of pornographic material, including 32 pornographic CDs, an album of naked photos of the boys and three handphones with photos of them in the nude.
Noor, who was unrepresented, asked that the charges be read to him in Cantonese. It is learnt that Noor was a former factory worker.
He faces up to 15 years in prison and whipping if convicted under Section 377E of the Penal Code for inciting a child under 14, while the charge under Section 292A for possession of obscene materials is punishable with up to three years prison and a fine.
DPP Siti Aisyah Ahmad urged the court not to grant bail because there was a risk of Noor harassing the children.
Sessions judge Zulqarnain Hassan agreed not to grant bail and fixed May 8 for next mention.
