Rituals for 'afterlife journeys'

Devotees from Taoist temple Heng Kang Tian burning offerings at Bukit Brown Cemetery last night as part of its seventh lunar month ghost festival rituals.

The annual rituals are "community work", to help wandering souls with their afterlife journeys, said the temple's spirit medium and spiritual master Tan Eng Hing, 45. The National Heritage Board is producing a documentary to showcase these rites and rituals. It will be put on YouTube next month.
