This multilateral exercise to commemorate the centenary of the first entry of the Australian Navy's Fleet into Sydney started on Thursday and will last until next Friday. It was preceded by the ASEAN Defence Ministers' Meeting-Plus Maritime Security Field Training Exercise, which ended on Tuesday.

RSS Endeavour participates in the international fleet review held in Sydney
The Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN)'s RSS Endeavour is taking part in the International Fleet Review held in Sydney, Australia from 3 to 11 October 2013, at the invitation of the Royal Australian Navy (RAN). RSS Endeavour joins more than 56 ships from 19 other countries to commemorate the centenary of the first entry of the RAN's Fleet into Sydney.
The fleet was officially reviewed by Her Excellency the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, from HMAS Leeuwin on 5 October 2013 as part of the Ceremonial Fleet Review. RSN midshipmen, who are on board RSS Endeavour for their Midshipman Sea Training Deployment, will also take part in the Combined Navies Parade. RSS Endeavour will be open to the public for visits during the period of port stay in Sydney.
RSS Endeavour had also participated in the ASEAN Defence Ministers' Meeting (ADMM)-Plus Maritime Security Field Training Exercise conducted in Jervis Bay, Sydney, Australia, from 29 September to 1 October 2013, which was held back-to-back with the International Fleet Review.
The Singapore Armed Forces and the Australian Defence Force have extensive interactions in the form of bilateral and multilateral exercises, visits, professional exchanges and the cross-attendance of courses. The two armed forces have also worked together in close partnership in the multinational reconstruction efforts in Afghanistan. These interactions have deepened the close and longstanding defence relationship between the two countries.
