Sabah quake: Bodies of 2 missing victims found

The bodies of the missing pupil and teacher from Tanjong Katong Primary School have been found, the Ministry of Education (MOE) said in a statement on Wednesday morning.

MOE said the Malaysian authorities have confirmed that Navdeep Singh Jaryal S/O Raj Kumar and Mohammad Ghazi Bin Mohamed were among those who perished at Kota Kinabalu.

The ministry added that their families have been informed. Their remains will return to Singapore after further forensic tests are completed.

The authority said it will continue its support to the affected families during this difficult time.

In addition, MOE expressed its thanks to the individuals who helped with search, rescue and recover efforts of the Singaporean victims at Kota Kinabalu. It also thanked the Royal Malaysia Police, Malaysian Armed Forces and other authorities for their support and assistance.
