Sabah quake: Najib sends condolences, PM Lee responds

SINGAPORE - Malaysia's Prime Minister Najib Razak has written to PM Lee to express condolences to Singaporeans who lost their loved ones at Mount Kinabalu.

"I wish to assure you that we have taken all the necessary steps to provide immediate rescue and recovery efforts to the affected people," Najib said in a letter to PM Lee.

In his reply, PM Lee thanked Najib for his condolences and said he greatly appreciated Malaysia's support and assistance during the aftermath of the earthquake.

"It is a tragic occasion for both our nations," PM Lee said.
