SINGAPORE - Members of the public have been receiving calls informing them that they had won air tickets to Japan in a contest organised by Changi Airport last year, and that the caller needs personal information such as passport details and mailing address for the winners to claim their prizes.
In a statement released by the police on Saturday, the Changi Airport Group has clarified that the calls are not authentic.
Police remind the public not to disclose personal particulars to unknown individuals. Those who have received such calls should file a police report via the Electronic Police Centre at www.spf.gov.sg/ epc or at any Neighbourhood Police Centre/Post.
