SINGAPORE - Senior Minister of State (SMS) for Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs Masagos Zulkifli will attend the Egypt Economic Development Conference in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) said in a statement today.
The conference, which will be from Mar 13-15, is organised by the Egyptian Government, and will present new investment opportunities in Egypt to global business and political leaders.
It will showcase investment projects covering sectors such as transport and logistics, information and communications technology, oil and gas, tourism, and the redevelopment of the Suez Canal region.
During the conference, he will also meet with Egyptian leaders to discuss ways to further strengthen bilateral relations.
An MFA spokesperson said that SMS Masagos' participation affirms Singapore's continued support for the Egyptian Government's efforts to transform its economic landscape and restore foreign investor confidence.
In Egypt, he will be accompanied by officials from the MFA, the Ministry of Trade and Industry, and International Enterprise Singapore.
