She's our 100,000th 'Like'

When Ms Noraishah Mohamed Kassim was first told she was the 100,000th person to like The New Paper on Facebook, she thought it was a scam.

But she was delighted after realising it was genuine.

For being our 100,000th Facebook fan, Ms Noraishah will get a complimentary year-long subscription to TNP and vouchers worth $100 from Au Chocolat, a French-inspired confectionery and bistro.

An avid TNP reader since the 1990s, the civil servant has also been reading article summaries on TNP's website, but only recently decided to like the Facebook page.

The page is updated with links to TNP stories throughout the day.

Ms Noraishah, 38, likes the news section because of the easy read and people-centric stories.

Either she or her husband will buy the paper each day. If they don't, she borrows her colleagues' copy to get her fix.

But she won't have to any more.

She said: "With a paper delivered to my doorstep, I will have easier access to the news that I always look out for every day."

Want to win as well? TNP will be picking a winner from our Facebook fans in a lucky draw. To qualify, like The New Paper on Facebook by April 30.

The lucky winner will receive a pair of vouchers (worth $98++ each) for a Sunday brunch at Spanish restaurant Catalunya, and complimentary print subscription to TNP for a year.

This article was published on April 24 in The New Paper.
