SIA and SilkAir to lower fuel surcharges for tickets

SINGAPORE - Passengers flying on Singapore Airlines and SilkAir will be able to buy cheaper tickets, the national carrier and its regional wing announced Thursday.

The reduction in fuel surcharges for tickets is in tandem with declining fuel prices worldwide, SilkAir said.

Here is the latest surcharges for SilkAir tickets issued on or after Feb 25, 2015:

According to a report from Channel NewsAsia, jet expenses constitute a large percentage in SIA Group's expenditure.
