Sikhs celebrate 300 holy years

Sikhs across the globe celebrated the 300th anniversary of the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji (Sikh Holy Scriptures) last week.

The Singapore Sikh community built a float that is a replica of the Takhat Sachkhand Sri Hazur Sahib - the Sikh shrine in Maharashtra where the 10th Guru of the Sikhs bestowed Guruship on Guru Granth Sahib.

It went on a tour around the island, stopping at each of the seven Sikh temples or Gurdwaras.
