Singapore and S. Korea police strengthen law enforcement cooperation

SEOUL - Singapore Police Force's Commissioner of Police Ng Joo Hee and Korean National Police Agency's Commissioner General Lee Sung-han have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to strengthen law enforcement cooperation between the two forces.

The event was held on Sep 10, 2013 at the Korean National Police Agency (KNPA) Headquarters in Seoul, South Korea.

The signing of the MOU is a significant milestone development in the relationship between SPF and KNPA. With this MOU, cooperation between both forces is expected to be further enhanced in the areas of information sharing, capacity building, professional development and training.

Highlighting the importance of international cooperation in the fight against crime, Commissioner Ng said, "The Singapore Police Force will continue to leverage on our strategic partners, both at home and abroad, to keep criminals at bay, and to strive towards a safer Singapore. The MOU with the Korean National Police Agency will enable both police forces to learn and tap on each other's capabilities, so as to strengthen our fight against transnational criminals and syndicates."
