Singapore is country-of-honour at China-ASEAN Expo

Singapore is this year's Country-of-Honour for the 11th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) where Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office and the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, Sam Tan will be delivering an opening address.

Mr Tan will visit Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, from Sep 13 to 17, 2014 to attend the 9th ASEAN-China Cultural Forum.

The Forum is a platform that enhances cultural exchange and cooperation between ASEAN and China.

It is also part of the China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) and related meetings.

The upcoming 9th ASEAN-China Cultural Forum is a key project of 2014 ASEAN-China Cultural Exchange Year.

Its theme this year is "Management and Practices of International Arts Festivals".

Mr Tan will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth and the National Arts Council.
