Singapore ministers in Brunei for annual Hari Raya visit

SINGAPORE - SAF servicemen at Jalan Aman Camp in Brunei celebrated Hari Raya together with Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs Masagos Zulkifli, Minister of State for National Development and Defence and Mayor for South East District Dr Maliki Osman, and Minister of State for Education and Communications & Information Ms Sim Ann on Friday.

The Ministers, who were accompanied by their spouses, were in Brunei Darussalam for the annual Hari Raya visit from July 29 to August 2.

During the visit, Mr Masagos personally conveyed the Hari Raya wishes of Singapore's leaders to the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam, His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Raja Isteri, Her Majesty Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha, and the Royal Family. Mr Masagos affirmed the warm and abiding friendship between Singapore and Brunei.

Over the past three days, Mr Masagos and the delegation also attended the Hari Raya Open Houses of Minister of Home Affairs Pehin Badaruddin Othman and other Bruneian Ministers, Deputy Ministers and leaders.

A National Day Get-Together for Singaporeans in Brunei was also hosted by Mr Masagos and the delegation.
