Singapore muslims raise funds for Syrian refugees

Haji Paiman Supangat from the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (Muis) handed over a cheque for $221,362.94 to Mr Mohamed Nassir of the Asrit project at Muhajirin Mosque yesterday.

The money is from the Muslim community here in aid of Syrian refugees in Turkey.

The funds were collected from April 4 to 10 via donation boxes at all 69 mosques here, in collaboration with the Rahmatan Lil Alamin Foundation (RLAF).

Donations will be accepted until May 31 by cheque to RLAF (write "In aid of Syrian refugees" on the back of the cheque), or online at https://www.muis.gov.sg/epayment/Donations.aspx
