SINGAPORE - A fashion apparel store at Changi Airport Terminal 3 that is fully managed and run by Singapore Polytechnic students has been given a new facelift.

The store, called Singapore Polytechnic Entrepreneurship Living Laboratory (SPELL), has been given new features such as a message wall, digital signage and stories on students' learning journeys.

Neutral store colours, additional mirrors and a changing room was also included in the facelift, following customer feedback based on a survey conducted by the students themselves.

Tapping on technological advances, SPELL has also been equipped with advanced cloud computing software, ensuring the store is adequately staffed for 13 hours daily. It will also make use of Skype and lvie cameras to allow real-time remote teaching and student assessment by lecturers.

The store, which first opened in 2011, is managed by students from the Diploma in Business Administration and Diploma in Business Information Technology.
