Singapore reaffirms ties with island country Nauru

SINGAPORE - Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong met the President of the Republic of Nauru, His Excellency Baron Waqa at the Istana on Wednesday afternoon.

They reaffirmed warm relations between the two nations and discussed developments in Nauru, an island country in Micronesia in the South Pacific.

Prime Minister Lee also urged Nauru to increase participation in the Singapore Cooperation Programme.
