SINGAPORE - The Singapore Red Cross will be distributing N95 masks to its beneficiaries over the next two weeks in view of the hazy conditions in Singapore, the organisation said on Monday (Sept 28).
The beneficiaries are the Community FirstAid, FoodAid, TransportAid and Community-Led Action for ResiliencE (C.L.A.R.E) programme.
Face masks will also be made available to members of the public at its headquarters at Red Cross House from Tuesday. Each individual will be eligible for two masks, while stocks last.
"In addition to taking active steps to ensure the well-being of our beneficiaries, this contribution is our small way of helping to safeguard the community from the effects of haze. We encourage everyone to be vigilant of their own health," said Mr Benjamin William, Singapore Red Cross' Secretary General/CEO.
The Red Cross house, located at 15 Penang Lane, will be open from Mondays to Fridays, 9am to 6pm.
