Sketches of prize-winning science

After stops in Stockholm in Sweden and Frankfurt, Berlin and Heidelberg in Germany, an exhibition featuring 50 scientific Nobel laureates and their discoveries has touched down here for its Asian debut.

Held at the Science Centre Singapore, the travelling display from Sweden's Nobel Museum is called Sketches Of Science, and features portraits of the scientists holding simple drawings of their ground-breaking work.

There are also audio clips of the prize winners explaining their discoveries.

They were given just five to 10 minutes to scrawl the images with coloured markers and crayons on a white placard before being photographed by German photographer Volker Steger.

Sketches Of Science will be on display from 10am to 6pm daily at the Science Centre Singapore until Nov 22.

Admission is free with the purchase of general admission to the centre.
