SPH Radio and SPH Digital clinch honours at The Spark Awards

Two Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) business units, SPH Radio and SPH Digital Division have clinched four awards at The Spark Awards 2015 last night.

The Spark Awards, organised by Marketing Magazine, is the first of its kind in Southeast Asia which aims to celebrate and honour top media owners and publishers from across the region. A total of 73 trophies were awarded to the leading media owners at the ceremony held at Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel.

SPH Radio bagged two awards at The Spark Awards: a Gold in the "Best Commercial Team" category and Bronze in the "Best Media Solution - Radio" category for its "Experience Macau" campaign on station, Kiss92 - a collaboration with the Macau Government Tourism Office (Singapore Representative Office). SPH Radio's revamp of ONE FM 91.3 was a finalist in the "Best Launch/Re-launch by a Media Owner" category as well.

SPH's free-access, one-stop news and information portal AsiaOne clinched the Silver award in the "Most Improved Offering by a Media Owner" for its revamped mobile and iPad apps. Offering an improved interface and functionality, AsiaOne gives readers a well-informed overview of affairs happening in the region, from news to lifestyle topics. AsiaOne's event, AsiaOne People's Choice Awards 2015, was also a finalist in the "Best Event by a Media Owner" category.

SPH's FastJobs app, a platform for job seekers to search for temporary, contract, freelance and part-time jobs, was awarded a Bronze in the "Best App by a Media Owner" category. Packed with essential functionalities, the app simplifies and fast-tracks the job search and application process for users. Since its inception in March 2015, the app has garnered close to 158,000 downloads.
