SPH's classifieds, car portals win awards

Singapore Press Holdings' online classifieds umbrella ST701 has bagged two awards.

The launch campaign for STClassifieds, its subsidiary for shopping, won the Print Campaign of the Year at the Institute of Advertising Singapore's Hall of Fame awards last Friday.

The campaign was created by advertising firm Goodfellas and beat efforts from fast-food chain KFC, battery maker Procter & Gamble Duracell and electronics giant Samsung Asia.

Since its launch in October last year, STClassifieds has garnered more than 19,000 app downloads, 90,000 product and service listings, 3.5 million monthly page views and 100,000 Facebook fans.

Earlier last month, ST701's motoring website STCars' anti- drink driving campaign won a bronze in the GONG Singapore Creative Circle Awards' film and television category.

The competition was organised by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Singapore.

Mr Johnson Goh, vice-president and head of ST701, said: "We are honoured to receive these awards for STClassifieds and STCars and to be recognised by professionals for the fruits of our labour with our partner."
