ST subscriber walks away with $10,000 in SPH Lucky Draw

SINGAPORE - The SPH Lucky 30 Draw, organised by Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) in celebration of its 30th anniversary celebrations, has attracted more than 30,000 contestants with its 30 prizes worth over $88,000.

The online lucky draw, which ran from Mar 17 to May 18, received entries from 31,538 contestants. Existing direct subscribers of SPH newspapers (print and/or digital) were given 5 chances to win.

An electronic draw was held on May 21, 2014 to pick 30 winners. The top three winners were then invited to a finale event to pick their prizes on Monday at SPH News Centre.

Mr Alan Chan, Chief Executive Officer of SPH, together with sponsors, presented the prizes to the top three winners, who are all subscribers of SPH publications.

Ms Mathilda Chow, 52, who is a subscriber of The Straits Times for over 10 years, won a Star Cruises 5N Penang/Phuket/Malacca Cruise with $300 Dining Credit for two on SuperStar Virgo; Mr Gong Yansong, 45, a Lianhe Zaobao subscriber for more than 3 years, won an 18K White Gold Tanzanite and Diamond Pendant with a bonus Tanzanite Ring from Diamond Industries, and Mr Lim Jin Siew, 39, a Straits Times subscriber of more than 6 years, won $10,000 cash in Savings Account with State Bank of India.

Other attractive prizes for the lucky draw included a 10D7N holiday for two to Santorini and Athens (airfare and accommodation); a U-Boat Watch Classico 45 AS 1/A Red Stitch from Bezel, local and overseas staycations, electronic gadgets, shopping vouchers and magazine subscriptions. The wide variety of prizes was aimed to meet the varying needs and interests of different people.
