SINGAPORE - Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) today announced a three-year title sponsorship renewal worth $10.5 million for the Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore (SCMS).
A media statement released today said that Standard Chartered Bank, event owner Sport Singapore and event organiser Spectrum Worldwide will continue to run the marquee event until 2016.
The announcement was also witnessed by Acting Minister of Manpower Mr Tan Chuan-Jin.
Mr Neeraj Swaroop, Standard Chartered Bank Singapore's Chief Executive Officer, said: "Since 2002, Standard Chartered Bank has played a part in nurturing Singapore's passion for running, and together with Sport Singapore and Spectrum Worldwide, we aim to develop the Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore into one of Asia's best."
Mr Lim Teck Yin, Sport Singapore's Chief Executive Officer, also added: "Standard Chartered Bank has long been a valued partner of sport in Singapore and her contribution through the Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore exemplifies how a sports event could be grown over the years to reach out to young and old, and inspire people to live better through sport."
Public registration for the Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore 2014 is slated to open in July, with more announcements to be made in the coming weeks.
