Suspected cafe burglar nabbed

A 22-year-old man has been arrested for his suspected involvement in a case of housebreaking and theft by day.

The police received a report on Nov 21 at about 5.40pm that a cafe along Cross Street had been broken into. Cash was reported to be missing.

The suspect's identity was established with the aid of images from CCTV footage. He was nabbed along Yishun Street 72 on Nov 22.

He will be charged in court on Nov 24, and faces up to 10 years in jail if convicted.
