Taman Jurong residents spooked by large python discovered at playground

SINGAPORE - A python was found hiding under one of the recreational equipment at a playground in Taman Jurong this morning.

A resident wrote in to citizen journalism website Stomp describing how chaos ensued as elderly residents and kids were exercising and playing in the area at that time.

In a phone conversation, the Stomp contributor said: "There was chaos at a playground in the Taman Jurong area at 8.30am this morning (Sep 22) when a python was found hiding under one of the recreational equipment.

"This was when senior citizens were doing their morning exercise and children were playing about as per usual.

"The python was quite long and large, and no one dared to do anything until proper help was called in.

"Soon after, a police officer was at the scene and ACRES staff members were also seen handling the situation."
