Tanjong Pagar Railway Station to hold last open house on Christmas

Fans of Tanjong Pagar Railway Station can look forward to spending Christmas there before it closes for an extended period of time.

The heritage site will be open to the public for free on Christmas Day (Dec 25) from 9am to 9pm, the Singapore Land Authority said on Monday (Dec 12).

This will be the railway station's last open house until the Cantonment MRT station on the Circle Line is completed. The station is slated to be completed by 2025.

Visitors can shop for Christmas treats and feast on delectable food and drinks at the all-day market.

There will be live music performances in the evening by the renowned Richard Jackson Jazz Quartet and a cappella group NUS Resonance, who will be performing a rendition of Christmas carols.

Visitors can spread the Christmas cheer by making a donation to the Community Chest and hop onto the Choo Choo Train that will take them around the national monument. They can also donate their new and pre-loved toys and books to beneficiaries supported by the charity.
