Tanjong Pagar Railway Station open to public on May 1

SINGAPORE - Looking for a nice and rustic place to spend your Labour Day? The former Tanjong Pagar Railway Station (TPRS) will be open to public from 9am to 6pm on May 1.

Since February this year, about 9,000 people have visited the former TPRS, which is open to the public on public holidays.

The Singapore Land Authority (SLA) said in a statement that many members of the public have been sketching the historical building and its surroundings.

"We would be happy to display these pieces of art at the next opening," the SLA said, adding that members of the public can drop off their drawings at the former ticketing counter of TPRS.

The SLA has also provided a map (below) to facilitate the public visiting the station.
