MALAYSIA - The teacher was preparing to start the day at a kindergarten in Bangi, near Kuala Lumpur.
The 26-year-old then noticed a 16-year-old student walking in circles near the entrance on Monday morning.
Worried about the suspicious behaviour of the boy, the teacher, who was not named, quickly closed the door.
But she forgot to lock it.
A police source told The Star that the teenager then entered the kindergarten and overpowered the teacher from behind.
Said the police source: "She was switching on the lights when she noticed the teenager.
"Unfortunately, she forgot to lock the door after her."
He said that the victim was screaming for help but the teenager silenced her by attempting to choke her.
It is not clear whether there was anybody else at the kindergarten at that time.
"The overpowered teacher begged the boy not to kill her," the source was quoted as saying.
"He told her that he wouldn't and said that he was not able to fight his urges."
DRAGGED
It is learnt that the teenager then dragged the teacher into one of the classrooms where he allegedly raped and sodomised her.
"The teacher told the kindergarten owner about the incident when she came in for the day," the source said. They lodged a police report at the Kajang district station.
The suspect was arrested by noon the same day in one of the shophouses near the crime scene.
The boy, who has no previous criminal record, will be remanded until tomorrow to assist in investigations. He is being investigated for rape, the police source said.
