GEORGE TOWN - A Thai woman charged in a magistrate's court here with soliciting for sex had her case fixed for mention as she could not understand the charge.

Naowarat Sangprajak, 36, who indicated to the court that she could not speak either Bahasa Malaysia or English, is alleged to have the intention to offer sex services to a 34-year-old man at a flat in Taman Lip Sin, Bayan Baru, at 4pm on July 10.

DPP Nurul Huda Idris prosecuted while the accused was unrepresented.

Magistrate Sri Pracha Nanthini Balabedha fixed Aug 10 to mention the case for the court to obtain the services of a Thai interpreter for Naowarat.
