A Malaysian man was arrested yesterday morning in Songkhla's Sadao district while allegedly trying to smuggle 43 kilograms of marijuana worth Bt600,000 (S$24,000) in a car across to Malaysia.

Following the arrest of Wan Bodlishan Bin, 45, police searched a rented room in the area and found three kilograms of marijuana and apprehended three Thai women.

The Malaysian allegedly confessed to police that he was hired to transport the drug into Malaysia by collecting the car that was parked in front of the rented house.
