SINGAPORE - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Tharman Shanmugaratnam, will attend the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors meeting in Cairns, Australia from Sep 19 to 21, said a Ministry of Finance (MOF) statement released today.
A broad range of issues will be discussed during the meeting that leads up to the G20 Brisbane Summit. Some of the issues include global economic developments, infrastructure investment, financial regulation and tax.
DPM Tharman will also hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts while in Cairns.
He will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Finance and the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
