Toppled tree sends shelter crashing onto parking lots

SINGAPORE - A large tree toppled during the rainstorm this morning and crashed down on to a carpark shelter.

A contributor to citizen journalism website Stomp sent in pictures of the incident, which showed the shelter roof having fallen to the ground from the impact.

Balaji said: "I just saw this incident near NEA building.

"Today's rain caused this huge tree to fall down over the carpark roof and it completely collapsed.

"Lucky no cars damaged in this incident."
