She bought jewellery, food, clothing and electronics.
But Wee Yat Mui didn't stop there.
She also stole her sister's NRIC and used it to cancel several insurance policies from two companies, cashing in the proceeds.
Pretending to be her sister, Wee, 39, took out loans from the insurance companies, forging several documents along the way.
She also subscribed to three mobile phone lines under her sister's name, before cutting up the NRIC and throwing it away.
The total amount lost? More than $26,250.
Ms Wee Yat Lian, 43, soon noticed the unauthorised transactions on her card.
She made a police report without realising that it was her younger sister all along.
Wee faced 42 charges in 2006.
