Tourist found dead in Peninsula Excelsior Hotel

Eyewitnesses said they saw an ambulance and police cars parked outside the hotel lobby along Coleman Street at about 10am, and that a body was subsequently taken away in a hearse at about noon.

In a statement, the police said:

"Police received a call at 9.56am requesting for assistance in a hotel along Coleman Street.

Upon police's arrival, the body of a man in his 50s was found lying motionless at the said location.

He was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.

Police are investigating the unnatural death."
