Traffic arrangements for Mr Lee Kuan Yew's state funeral
Road closures around Parliament House from March 23 - March 29 for members of the public to pay their respects as the body of the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew lies in state.

SINGAPORE - The body of the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew will lie in state at Parliament House from March 25 to March 28. Members of public can pay their last respects from 10am to 8pm daily during the same period.

Some roads and lanes will be closed at specific timings to facilitate state funeral arrangements from today till March 29.


The following lanes and roads will be closed to traffic during the stipulated timings:

Traffic delays are expected to occur in the vicinity of Parliament House, including Hill Street, High Street and North Bridge Road.

Motorists should plan their route early and people who wish to visit the Parliament House should take public transport, the police said.

The carpark at Parliament House will be closed to the public during this period.

The coffin of the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew will be placed on a gun carriage, which will leave Istana for Parliament House on March 25 at 9am.

The following roads will be closed to facilitate the movement from 8.45am to 930am on Wednesday:

a) Orchard Road (between Buyong Road and Selegie Road);

b) Bras Basah Road (between Selegie Road and North Bridge Road); and

c) North Bridge Road (between Bras Basah Road and North Boat Quay)

Delays in traffic along the surrounding roads are expected.

Police officers and auxiliary police Officers will also be stationed at all affected road junctions to direct traffic.
