A train fault caused a brief delay from Clementi to Joo Koon on the East-West Line on Thursday evening (July 23).

Normal train services were resumed by 8.49pm, according to a post on train operator SMRT's Twitter account.

SMRT had said in an earlier Twitter post that the travelling time from Clementi to Joo Koon station was expected to be delayed by about 20 minutes.

The train operator also announced that it was offering free bus services between Jurong East and Joo Koon to affected commuters.
