Train services from Marina Bay towards Newton on North-South line suspended
The Somerset MRT station entrance within the TripleOne Somerset shopping mall on Orchard Road. Train services from Marina Bay towards Newton on the North-South line have been suspended after a delay of at least 25 minutes on Tuesday night.

SINGAPORE - Train services on the North-South line were disrupted for around 25 minutes on Tuesday night.

The announcement was made on SMRT Corporation's official Twitter page at around 9.08pm before they confirmed that they would be pulling the services more than an hour later. SMRT said the delay was due to a train fault near Somerset station.

 

This was followed by another update at 9.23pm where it was stated that a delay of 20 minutes was expected.

 

In its latest update at 9.59pm, SMRT said on its Twitter that train service from Marina Bay to Newton has ceased.

Free bus bridging services are currently available between Marina Bay and Newton in both directions.
