Two dead in Geylang hotel

TWO bodies were found in a hotel room in Geylang yesterday.

The police received a call at about 7.45pm last night, and it is understood that they found a 31-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman on the third level of Hotel 81 Palace in Lorong 16, Geylang.

The Straits Times understands the man is an Indian national, while the woman is an Indonesian national.

Both are believed to be work permit holders. The woman was found partially dressed and with some wounds, and it is believed that blood stains were spotted in the room and bathroom.

When The Straits Times arrived at the scene last night, there were five cars and two police vans in front of the hotel. The police are investigating the unnatural deaths.
